Summary: Great small desktop for use as a 2nd Media Center
Comment: I purchased this small desktop for use as a 2nd media center to run boxee, hulu, itunes, netflix and windows media center. All runs fine except for itunes (I think it has to do with how quicktime does not use hardware excelleration so video running itunes is very choppy & playing a media center recording from another Media center if it HD)
Though it does come with 802.11n built in I still found that sometimes video was choppy streaming HD video from the net and from my primary media center. That is more with wireless technology but wire direct cat 5 cable connects to my network no issues.
Overall for price for basic media center for my bedroom works great for what I need it to do.

Summary: I LOVE, repeat LOVE this Acer Revo!!!
Comment: This is an incredable mini pc! I have a laptop that I use for everyday purposes, and bought the Acer Revo as a media pc – and it’s SPECTACULAR. I hooked it up to a Sony Bravia Rear Projection (HD) TV. It hides conveniently to the rear of the screen, right by the hdmi input(s). It leads you EASILY (on screen) through all of the setup steps (including sizing to your tv screen), and the wireless keyboard and mouse work like a charm via a very small dongle. And it works FLAWLESSLY. I personally think everyone should have one!

Summary: Great product with bad WiFi – fixed
Comment: I agree with Busterdog review that the wifi on the 3610 Revo is horrible, and i believe both the wifi card and internal antennas are to blame. To fix the problem I decided to follow an idea I found on[...]
The internal wifi antennas are just two pieces of sheet metal held to the casing with yellow tape. I removed both existing internal antennas and their connectors, and replaced them with two u.fl to sma adapters. I decided to put the sma sockets in the existing antenna cavities so I drilled two holes in the casing aligning them with the small cable notches in the internal metal shielding. This way the placement of the two sma sockets on my 3610 Revo is as follows: one next to the nVidia Ion label and the other on the “bottom” corner, next to the cable lock slot.
After connecting two external aerials I ‘borrowed’ from an old router, my Revo was no longer dropping signal! Furthermore it now ’sees’ fifteen wireless networks in the earea, where before it could barely pick up two or three. Just for the looks I ordered a pair of small D-link 2dbi antennas, in white – they should match up nicely with white casing of the Revo. The next thing I plan to do is to replace the wifi card with a 5 GHz N type.

Summary: Great for what it is
Comment: If you want a full on computer this is not for you unless you don’t do much. But if it just sits next to your tv bringing in hours of entertainment go for it.
